A 1970s FRENCH DIVE WATCH CLASSIC
Faithful reissue of the iconic Superman ref. 53.00.16 from the 1970s featuring distinct design elements like the 990 feet WR straight-lugs steel case with its patented bezel-lock mechanism. A retro vibe aluminum bezel and double domed crystal complete the overall vintage look, along the iconic shovel-shaped sweep second hand. Equipped with a Sellita SW200-1 caliber, this edition is manufactured and assembled in Biel (Switzerland).
The 120 clicks unidirectional aluminum dive bezel, graduated to 60 minutes, features the same vintage aspect as the original model from the 1970s. The patented bezel-lock at 3 o'clock is found on most Superman models since 1963.
Over the years the YEMA Superman has become one of the most recognised French dive watches. The Superman Heritage model has preserved the aesthetic and vintage aspect of the original 1970s Superman while incorporating functional characteristics of contemporary professional diving watches.
YEMA’s historic coat of arms is embossed on the case-back with a hydraulic press, then sandblasted through different micro-blasting processes for a refined finish.
The 316L stainless steel bracelet alternates brushed and polished links for a timeless and sporty look. It features a diver's extension so that it can be easily and quickly adjusted over a diving suit.
